she's right. the only true thing she's ever said. err.. except for that part about it being necessary to celebrate it. Must we also celebrate putting air in our tires, boiling water, and everything else that makes us human? Why, I wonder what she's celebrating right now!
If you want to get deeper, this quality of George Bush, Jr., the ability to humiliate himself in front of people, did make him a good leader... but being a good leader is one of many requirements for presidency.
Doesn't anyone speak to the obvious in this video? The girl's mother abuses the father on camera. Can you imagine why the girl would be compelled to gain attention? Think about it. It's a dream come true for her to expose her parents as the angry, abusive people they are.

java works well for the app, featuring realtime, continuous (one loop delayed), general midi sonification of spreadsheets, Dirk Gently-style.
but Sun, *really*, dragging sliders is as sloppy in 2010 as it was in 1996/7? It wouldn't disturb me so much if every other platform had not achieved it *ably* and CS students didn't *continuously* demonstrate mastery of one of the most fundamental UI widgets after radio buttons.
